If You Forget, I'll Remember was selected to have its worldwide premiere at DOC NYC 2024, one of the most celebrated documentary film festivals in the United States, a milestone that felt all the more meaningful given the journey it took to get there. The road to completing the film was not without its challenges; early in production, filming was denied inside the hospital, a restriction that threatened to leave the story's most crucial and vulnerable moments untold. But rather than let that obstacle define the film, those limitations became an invitation for creativity.
